Meet our Director
Jeanie Bartel is a book lover who has been the director of Hillsboro Public Library since 2017. Her favorite genre of books is historical fiction and she loves the color teal!
Malinda Just has worked at Hillsboro Public Library since September of 2023. The library has always been one of her favorite places! Current authors she loves are Katherine Center, Kristin Hannah and Kayla Olson.

Rhiannon Schmidt is our children’s librarian, and has been employed by HPL for 12.5 years.
Rhiannon enjoys arts & crafts and gardening — you might have seen her lovely flower arrangements at some of last year’s farmer’s markets!
Meet Grace Hein
Grace Hein has worked at HPL for three years and is currently an art education major at Wichita State University. Grace enjoys reading thrillers, romance and fantasy genres!
